A Final Goodbye.

The fire danced vivaciously
Captivating her gaze
Her eyes fixated
Her heart, ablaze.

The air blew through
Many a shapes it did make.
Some rigid in her memories
Some frail, like a winter flake.

A face in the fire
A face she remembered all too well
A face she once embraced
A face that did in her nightmares dwell.

A midst the burning wood
The fire out of the ashes came
A thought, a smell, a sensation.
She knew she wont be the same.

The air played with the fire
But burned itself in turn.
It gave away its life
For the fire to burn.

She sat there deep in thought
Papers stacked in her hand
Dilemma struck, time passed.
Slipped away like morsels of sand.

To do or not to do.
Her heart wanting to procrastinate.
To do or not to do.
The dark night enveloping, its getting late.

She flung the papers in the fire
Which now soared high
She burned all his love letters.
A final Goodbye.
