F 'ing the World?

As the world is in roar with Beyonce's VMA perfomance, a lot of questions have been asked on what or who is a feminist. A lot of questions and myths have been associated with being a feminist and I just want to put forth my stand on it.

I am a feminist. I have often come across people who claim not to feminist or claim to be one but don't truly understand what it means. Not blaming them. They like to believe "ignorance is bliss" and I on the other hand am a firm believer in "knowledge is power". But it irritates me when people put across their arguments in such a stupid and doltish way that I cant help but write this blog.

What is feminism? I am going to try and put it as simply as I can so that your timid little minds can comprehend what I'm trying to say.

Very simple. It is asking for equality between the two sexes, i.e man and woman, on earth. Nothing more. It does not mean saying that men are inferior and woman are superior. Nor do we want to castrate men even though sometimes I'm tempted. It definitely does not mean that we want to extinct man entirely from the human race. We don't even want to stereotype a certain kind of man. But at the same want the stereotype on woman to vanish. We don't want to oppress men. Nor are we saying that we would keep them as bondage because that's where they deserve to be. Nothing like that people.

We love men. But we love them EQUALLY as compared to our love for fellow woman. We only ask for equality. Nothing more. All we ask is for the chauvinist and the sexist to take a good look around you and see woman for what they truly are. Your equals. Nothing less. 

Just because a woman sits at home and makes your food doesn't make her your inferior. Just because a woman is ambitious, she doesn't become a bitch. Or just because a woman likes to have fun just like her male counterparts doesn't make her a whore while the guy goes on proudly claiming himself to be a Casanova. Please, your charms wont do you any good. Nor does having a female boss make you any less of a man as your male ego otherwise claims. As for all the woman who are your employees, they are just that. Your employees. You would dare call a man employee over for dinner and drinks while your wife is away on a vacation and slip something in his drink to do god knows what. Not that I'm against homosexuals. But then why on earth would you do that with your female employee. She isn't their for your personal pleasure. I'm not hinting towards every guy being a bastard. God knows I know better than to say it out openly. But we love men. 

 But how can I blame you. Its now unfortunately considered natural for all of this to happen. A girl naturally becomes a bitch if she gives up everything for her career. A girl naturally becomes a whore if she sleeps with more than one man. Sometimes just having a drink with more than one man leads into the above conclusion. A girl boss naturally becomes a major pain in the ass. Speculations are she slept her way to the top. So what if she had a better degree than you or better scores or just a better personality. You should have been the boss because you're a man. That's enough.  A woman employee is naturally sleeping with her boss waiting for promotion. Isn't that obvious?

These are the "natural" stereotypes that we as feminist want to get rid off. Nothing more. We aren't asking for men not to be employed as our bosses. But only if they deserve to and that should be decided on the basis of merit not gender. That is all that we are asking. Equal rights and equal opportunities without bombarding or limiting us with your stereotypes which were constructed about centuries ago. Time has moved on. When will you? Even a lion bows down in front of his lioness. Why cant you, the more evolved human, not bow down but acknowledge us as we are and not as your stupid stereotype tells us to be. Even the ant species has a queen as their head. Then why cant you, the more evolved species, at least be okay with woman as your equals.

That's what feminism is about and much more. But please don't mistake us to be anti man. We only want equal rights and opportunities. Having said that I don't know how one can't be a feminist.

Important note: Please don't put forth your arguments regarding reservations for woman or about how we woman have separate seats and compartments in the metro. It irritates me as to how profoundly you seem to be affected by a minor step taken towards the PROTECTION of woman and not as an insult to men. Also sexist is not someone who likes a lot of sex as some dim witted people out there once very confidently claimed. A sexist is a person who discriminates on the basis of gender.
